As part of my Stamp to Spend challenge over at SCS, I want to make sure I have a card for every occasion. I started by creating some birthday cards.
I cut the cupcakes out from Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge in the 1 1/2" size in the new SU In-colors. I just switched around the colors for each card. I used one piece of cardstock of Pacific Pointe, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red. I then cut the cupcake tops (use shift cupcake key on the Cricut) in white, glued them up and dipped them in Martha Stewart's crystal fine glitter. I used so saffron for the flame.
For the sentiment I used "Celebrate" from SU's Perfect Party Set. I do really like how these came out. I had been trying to figure out a way to use the new in color sample pack I bought when the colors first came out. Now I find myself in love with Pacific Pointe.
Here is another version which I did for a swap that is going on over at SCS. On this one I "popped" the cupcakes with dimentionals and I also had ribbon that matched the new in colors so I put it under the cupcakes. On this card I heat embossed with a white opaque powder. I decorated the envelopes with the stamp from Crazy for Cupcakes. The frosting area got a good dose of stickles.
Enjoy!
