Well my daughter's half sister is getting married in a couple of weeks and since I am out of a job, I offered to make the favors as her wedding gift. I got to use my Cricut to make these wedding favors.
Supplies:
- 4x6 candy bags
- hershy kisses and mint candies from Michaels
- 3/4" circle labels from Staples
- Cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 1 1/2"; 2", 6" and 7"
- SU Ribbon Punch
- Ribbon
- Scalloped Oval Nestabilities (smallest one)
I put 10 kisses and 2 mints per candy bag. Each kiss got a 3/4" sticker on the bottom. I bought the stickers at Staples and then downloaded the template off their website. I just used clip art from MS Word.
After scoring the cardstock, I used the centerpoint option on my Cricut, and I cut a heart from the middle of the back. In order for it to look ok you really do have to find the actual centerpoint, otherwise the Cricut will cut the shape in the wrong place. To do this I cut a piece of cardstock to the same size as the back of my box and poked a hole thru at the exact centerpoint. I placed this template on the actual back section and used a pen to mark the centerpoint.
Before folding the cardstock together, I punched holes for the ribbon and then punched holes in the tags which I had printed with word and then cut out using my small scalloped oval nestie. I threaded the ribbon thru the back and then one tag onto each ribbon and tied a lose knot. To adhere the candy bag to the inside of the cardstock I used my 1/2" ATG gun. with perm adhesive.
I hope you enjoy the wedding favors I made using my Cricut and Nestabilities.
Super cute favors!
