Well its been a few days since I last posted. I was getting DD ready to start at her new school and go back to her dad's house.
Tonight I finally got a chance to just play a bit more with my new Cricut Expression. I love playing with this machine. Everytime I start I learn about more really cool features.
I created this box and notecards tonight with it. Using the Bags Tags Boxes an More Cartridge I created a crayonla box by taking my 12x12 page and using the "fit to page" option for creating the notecard box (it ended up being a 8.5" setting). After cutting the box, I added a thin (1/4") strip of cardstock and threaded it thru the holes in the sides and adhered to create the flap holder. Then I adhered it using a very strong adhesive in order to keep it closed. One trick I larned when putting this box together was to press not only from the outside but also from the inside. To decorate the box and notecards, I cut 1.5" and 1" flowers with Georges Font Cartridge and for the centers of the flowers I used the 1/2" and 1/4" circles. All items were cut using real dial size.
For this project I used miscellaneous purple cardstock and Sugar Coated Cardstock by Doodlebugs in orange, blue, and green.
