Well y'all know how far behind I am with my layouts. 
BUT....
I am starting the wedding album! Whoo hoo. 3rd year anniversary is coming up and DH asked for an album of our wedding a while back. So it's going to become his anniversary present. Here is the cover page. I want to keep this album super simple to appeal to his sense of style. On this title page I put a rub on sentiment right on the photo. The mat is an irridescent white. The PP is a very nice flocked paper I picked up at ACM. There was no name on it. I used the PP for both the scallop edge as well as our names. I used the Cricut cartrige called Street Sign.

I am so proud of my DD. This is the layout she completed the other night of our Fourth of July festivites. We went up to a hill with some watermelon and had a great spot for watching fireworks from 6 different towns. While we were up there we were goofing around. For her first 12x12 layout, I think she did a very good job. She is going to give me a run for my money should she continue scrappin.

This was so simple to do. The other night my daughter and I were spending time in my scraproom. She was sitting on the couch watching a movie with me as I was at my table creating. I noticed her looking at all my containers and storage items. In particular she was looking at my SU markers box. At that point she asked me why she couldn't have something like that. Last year she got several American Craft Slick Writers at Crop for Healing in her goody bad and has been stuffing them in a baggie ever since. I told her that I hadn't seen a storage container for her Slick Writers but would research it and see what I could come up with. So after searching my house for inspiration (actually it was just me being cheap since I don't know if DD will continue scrapping), this is what I came up with. On top of making a cute little pen holder for her, I was good in that I recycled a container in my pantry, rescued a leftover piece of paper from the trash and used my Cricut. The pens fit perfectly by the way!
Recipe:
Find a container in your cupboard (I used a container that holds
powdered drink mix for the slick writers, for SU pens, or blender pens I suggest using a Pringles can). Then I cut a pice of paper 6x9 (you may have to adjust this for your own container). I used funky paper that I knew would appeal to my daughter. I then adhered the paper to the container. Remember to remove any paper covering the container first so that the PP will adhere well. I used 1/2" ATG tape, but a Xyron Cheetah would work as well. One thing you need to remember is to use very strong sticky tape.
Once I had the tube papered, I worked on decorating the lid of the container. I used Mini Monograms Cricut cartridge. The 2.5 real dial size circle worked perfectly. I added a ribbon and voila a pen holder for DD.

So yes I am really really far behind in my scrappin’. I have years and years to catch up with. Currently I have about 20 layouts ready and waiting for me to do in plastic sleeves. So this layout is from August of last year. DD and I took a trip up to Nova Scotia and PEI. One of the places we visited was Avonlea Village. If you have little girls and are up in the area, it’s defiantly worth a trip. There are plays to see, Anne’s village to walk around and if you are lucky, you may stumble upon Anne herself as we did in the dress shop where a lot of our pics were taken. I wish I had gotten a picture of Anne with DD. But all I got was my daughter and I dressing up and having a boatload of fun. It was soooo rainy that day. But it never dampened our spirit of adventure.
For this layout I used Storytellers Mom kit.
I believe it was the May kit to coincide with Mother’s Day. The Title was done with the Cricut Jasmine cartridge. The ribbon was just some scrap that I had lying around. The words “Remember when…” was done with a rub on I had laying around (I have a whole basket of rub on pages that have been cut apart).

Well we are getting pelted again with rain. They say another 2-5 inches today. Roads are getting flooded out, everything feels wet, and I can't even make it to the car anymore and keep my feet dry without wearing knee high rubber boots! ARggghhh. I do not like this much rain. I just want a week of sunshine. Of course I am one of those people who would love to have sunshine 365 days a year. I'd rather drive in ice and snow before driving in rain. Don't know why. I just feel really uncomfy driving in rain. At this rate all I can say is Mama Mia will it ever stop raining?
And speaking of Mama Mia, have you seen it yet? DD and I saw it the second night it was open. I defiantly enjoyed the music. But it was not what I had hoped for. Now I had never seen Mama Mia in the theaters so I was going into it blind. Meryl Streep was surprising as a singer, but this time acting wise she was really lacking. Now I think a huge part of it was the script itself. While it could have been a decent story, the plot was lacking and it just was not written with any depth. I felt nothing for the characters and I had expected more with such an all star cast. Ah well, off to find a new movie to watch tonight.
Its going to be a busy couple of days for me. I am trying to get a wedding album done in two weeks, looking at campgrounds for next summer attending a crop and taking DD to Vermont to see my mother for the weekend. Hang in there I will have something cool for you in a day or so. Maybe even tonight.

Let me preface by saying that if you have a delicate disposition you may want to stop reading now. That being said, for the last two years my DH has had a major case of PMS. He's been cranky and hasn't done anything with us. Now we live in separate states due to my daughter being here and his job being there. Last week he took the whole week off and stayed at his home in his state (3 hrs away) he couldn't be bothered to come visit us down here. So when I got my latest stamp from Stampin Bella, I just couldn't resist. I was inspired by not only his PMS but also a country song which came out a number of years ago.

The inside of the card is also stamped. I rocked the stamp and dabbed the ink in order to make it look as if it had been written in lipstick.
I can't wait to find out his reaction to the card. I hope it makes him laugh. We used to laugh so much together. I'll let you know at the end of the weekend since I have to travel to other state in order to drop DD off with my mother this weekend.
Personally I think this card would work with just about anyone who is suffering from needing a cranial extraction!

You Gotta Get This Tool!
For years I have been trying just about every rub on tool out there. I never knew whether it was me or not but I always had trouble putting a nice clean rub-on down on my paper. I had just about given up on ever using rub-ons when I came across this fairly new rub on tool by Basic Grey. 
Its a tool that makes using and laying down rub-ons a breeze. I used it for the first time the other night with a fairly large rub on. Putting the rub on down went like lightening and didn't need the strength of a sumo wrestler! It’s shaped like a pen with a large roller ball at one end and a spatula at the other. Because the ball glides so easily you reduce the friction and you get a very clean transfer. Just lay your rub on down and trace over the word or make circular motions if it is an image. You don’t need to press down hard. The spatula end is used for setting your rub on. Lay the rub-on backing (slimy side down) over the design and burnish it with the paddle for a smooth, perfect finish. Again, you don’t need to put a lot of muscle into this step. If you buy no other tool this year buy this one. You will be so happy you did!!
Currently, this retails for around $6-$7.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of going camping. Well when they delivered my firewood I was informed that they no longer give kindling out to help you start your fire. Well our camping neighbors kindly helped us get our fire started so I will be sending them this card I made tonight.
This was definitely not the fastest card I ever made. I chose to cut out the flower and stem and then roll the petals on a pencil to give it added dimension and feel. I stamped the flower with Saddle Brown Stazon and then colored it in using my SU Markers and my Prisma pencils. For the background I just stamped in So Saffron all the way across the card. And stamped the sentiment in basic black.
The stamp set I used is CTMH From Me to You.

I'm so excited right now. Even though my bday is not for another month, I just couldn't pass up this sweet deal and I bought myself my bday present early.
I got myself the Cricut Expression along with the Plantin Schoolbook and Street Signs cartridges. AND I used my Ebay coupon for 10% off my purcase. I have been talking about doing this for a long time now, but I finally broke down and got it. I still blame my SCS sistah who posted that she just broke down and bought one recently. I still can't believe it! I can't believe that I got all of this for such a great price.
Now I have to plan what I am going to cut first! Maybe some vinyl letters to put up on my studio wall? Maybe something to decorate my truck with? Got any suggestions for me? Ohhhh I just can't wait for it to show up!
